We have an old, wonky house and the cabinets he created were for two adjoining rooms, which have quite different characteristics. By building highly bespoke kitchen cabinets that were in a coherent style but reflected the scale of each room, it made having our kitchen spread between two rooms seem intentional and practical. There is absolutely no way we could have achieved this incredible blend of form and function without a long design process and a talented, hands-on craftsmen in situ. Deciding on a new kitchen in the middle of Covid-19 lockdown and Brexit is not for the fainthearted, but Chris was brilliant throughout. He kept us up to date with developments and even though we had a small unavoidable delay, his forward planning and mitigation strategies kept it to an absolute minimum. I love my 'Chris Chapman' kitchen. Chris was quick to understand what my vision was and worked with me to create a stunning and remarkably functionable kitchen with the wow factor. We love the kitchen that Chris designed for us. He has many years of experience in kitchen design, planning and fitting which meant he was able to ascertain quickly what we needed from our room and asked helpful questions which guided our thinking and made the whole planning experience a relatively smooth one. Chris oversaw the whole project. Introducing all subcontractors by name and checking at the end of each stage that we were happy with the way things were progressing. He has great attention to detail and checked all measurements several times to ensure everything fitted, so therefore there were no last-minute hitches. Having agreed that we wished to go ahead, an initial deposit was required, and a spreadsheet constructed which meant we knew what we had to pay and when. This payment by instalments is not something which happens with all kitchen companies. A time scale was sent early on and Chris informed us of how things were progressing. No mean feat when you consider we have been through a pandemic and Brexit uncertainties. There were small tweaks that were required as the work progressed. Chris listened carefully to our queries and offered helpful advice when asked e.g., the site of lights, number of shelves, power points etc. Great care was taken of our home and at the end of each day the kitchen was always left tidy and as clean as was possible within a construction situation. Also, Chris often worked late to ensure the project kept within its time frame. It is good to see a craftsman in action. The black walnut used for the island worktop is a beautiful piece of wood. We were shown photos of it being made in the workshop and there was a feeling of immense pride in its construction which was clear when both Chris and his craftsmen spoke about it. One thing you get from this company is bespoke design. My husband loves his new hi-fi cabinets which fit snugly against one wall. Instead of being a necessary practicality they are now a design feature. Ditto our beautiful dresser which turned out to be on a very uneven wall. No problem for this company who had the problem dealt with in hours leaving us with a perfectly aligned dresser. From the outset of dealing with Chris he has been totally professional and upfront in all matters. He visited our home to carry out a survey of our original kitchen, meticulously taking measurements. Within a few days he provided us with a comprehensive quote and design listing all items that would be invoiced. . I️ could not recommend Chris highly enough. He has transformed our experience of builders and building work. We’ve now had two bespoke kitchens designed, fitted and perfected by Chris and his small team (as well as some other unrelated work). It was a pleasant experience from the start. His showroom is a (dangerous) delight to look round but his real skill lies in his ability to transform conventional, or - as in the case of our London home - awkward spaces alike into perfectly formed, practical and aesthetically pleasing kitchens. Importantly, the final kitchen will, if anything, be better than the CAD design that he will first show you. The reason for this is simple: Chris is a perfectionist who will make sure that the work is finished to the highest standard, without a milimetre of wasted space. Project was conversion of two storey commercial store, in poor condition, into a 2 storey dwelling. (Grade II listed) All work was carried out in very professional manner, great attention paid to detail and use of correct materials. Workforce were craftsmen, skilled in working on old buildings. All waste materials were removed promptly and the site maintained in an orderly fashion. Quotation for the work was not the dearest, was very detailed, and warned of possible areas where additional costs might be incurred. Some additional costs and time were incurred due to problems revealed as work progressed, and wet weather delayed external work, (roof, walls & windows). We have now been resident for 19 months, and the only problem has been one external light fitting which failed. This was promptly renewed. I recommend this company 100%Read More

The last project was a complete overhaul of the downstairs of my house including a new hand cast concrete kitchen, re wiring, extensive building works, all the trades were needed and used.
